I'm attaching a video clip. Unfortunately, I caught them just after Emily reached for Maria Marcela and clung to her. It was very emotional. We were told that 90% of the time, the children have trouble going to the adopting parents. Amazingly, all 3 of our families in our group were received very well and the children took great. However, there was a family in there when we arrived and the child did have difficulty.
We're very fortunate. We're back at our hotel now and have had lunch. She has a very healthy appetite.
You will notice in the video that Emily has a red dot on her forehead and stars pasted on her ears. We were told that they were symbolic of showing how cute the child is.
Emily is still a little hesitant about me, but at least she embraces Maria now and she has big smiles and laughs when Andrew does his usual thing in front of her.

Noah, Hannah, and I just watched the video. Emily is very beautiful! She seemed to take to Maria right away. Hannah says, why can't they come home now? We can't wait to see more photos.
Oh Johnny and Maria ... she is just beautiful. Can't wait to see her smiling and fully realizing she is your cherished daughter! Brings tears to my eyes. Hope to have her and Zoe meet some day. (They're close in age. Zoe is 5.25.05) Hugs to you all!!! Enjoy.

Hooray!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for all of you. How wonderful. I am glad that she took so well to Maria. It looks like love at first sight. Can't wait to see more.
WOW!!!! I think that is the sweetest picture I have ever seen, Emily holding onto Maria. I have watched that video many times, it is very touching. She is a beautiful little girl.

Beautiful video, brought tears to my eyes. Ana Sophia and Mateo wanted to watch it over and over, and over and over, AND OVER again!!! They are just as excited to meet their new little cousin as we are.
